How do we take everything we’ve learned and prepare for what’s ahead of us?
Goals give us direction for our behavior and training leading up to a race but when you’re actually inside the experience, focusing on your goal - because it’s a focus on the outcome, not the task at hand - takes you out of the moment and away from your body and its wisdom. When you’re focusing on a particular result, that restriction and tightness in your mind creates tightness and tension in your body.
Get clear on intentions heading into the challenge as a way to program and direct your subconscious mind to have the experience that’s the right one for you.
